Gobos can create any pattern together with intellectual forms, symbols, and company logos, making it a perfect tool for endorsing brands and products in product introductions and conventions. Gobos were mostly used in the theatre, motion picture, and television industries before arriving at events industry. Precision thin metal parts like shims play an important role in creating unique gobos.

Gobos in Corporate Event

Gobos are often used in corporate events and conventions to take full advantage of enormous branding and marketing openings it creates. Gobo provides an exclusive way of promoting your brand that will definitely be not overlooked by your guests. They are greatly flexible and go perfectly with the different event themes and particular forms of entertainment.

By using gobos at corporate events, you can attract the attention of potential customers for your brand and create massive leads and increased conversion rates. It does not just do a make over of the location, but also create a mood or atmosphere for the guests who are attending the event. Gobos can also be used to encourage promotional messages and for the reason that they are so graphic and exciting, they make a long-lasting impression on the guests who might also include your future customers.

Types of Gobos
Steel Gobos – Steel Gobo is one of the most common varieties of gobo. These are the most robust and long-lasting kind of gobo and are used for engraving the company logo, words, or images from a template of steel. Even though with time they might discolor because of the oxidation from the strong heat from the lamps, steel gobos can still be used irrespective of the discoloration.

Glass Gobos – Glass gobos are created from see-through glass covered with a partial mirror above the parts that must not be exhibited. This covering stop light, letting the transparent part of the glass to produce the pattern that you want presented through the light. Glass gobos offer a high level of liberty and complexity with design. They can also color the glass to generate a stained glass appearance while using a regular, motionless light equipment. It allows the glass gobos to show a pattern or design with numerous colors at the same time.
Other Types – Plastic gobos are also utilized in rarely used lighting like LED ellipsoidal focus lights. These are much more resilient as compared to glass gobos.

Companies involved with gobo manufacturing are acquiring the laser cutting system for creating custom Gobos. The investment in a refined laser cutting system equipped with precise components like shims allows the companies to create fine and greatly accurate laser cut custom-made gobos with a short turnaround time.

Metal Laser Cutter at Mastercut

We have a vivid collection of metal laser cutters equipped at our store to develop a number of products. All the laser cutters are of high qualities which are imported from various corners of the world. The metal laser cutters are used to cut the shims. Most of the things are developed from the shims and therefore it is important to have sufficient equipments to cut the variety of shims present at our store. The types of metal
cutters that we have at our place are:

1)      Farley Laserlab

This is the largest machine which is equipped at our store which can easily cut the stainless steel, brass, copper, Titanium, Aluminium and so on.  The cutting table is of the size 1500 * 3000m. The laser cutter can cut the shims of 0.5 mm to a maximum of 10mm. The fact that machine is considered to be a asset is because it has a special ability to cut the shims of thinner ends and such machines are found very rare. This machine provides a high level of accuracy and the parts developed by it are smooth and fine. It can even cut the jewellery items.

2)      LPKF G6080

This metal cutter laser is a brand new product at our store and is the only machine which is equipped by Mastercut Technologies in the entire Australia. This is a stencil laser which is used to cut the solder paste stencil. It provides accurate cut as needed with cleanness and allows the solder paste to release at a proper rate. The machine also produces the materials which require thin quality and high tolerance.

3)      Co2 laser

This is a metal laser cutter which has a huge capability to cut a huge range of products and materials.  It is best used for marking of the metal materials for getting it prepared to cut. This is the most useful laser cutter machine available at our place of work.

4)      LPKF SL600

This is one of the old machines which is the solder paste stencil laser. This is used for cutting the shims and the parts and even the precision parts. The machine is kept in a climate controlled room and it’s foot rests on a granite bed which gives a better level of accuracy to the products developed on it.

The Importance of Stencils in the Modern Era

Mastercut Technologies are a leader in the Laser cut stencil industry. The laser cut stencils are widely used for various purposes. Stencil printing is basically the process of depositing solder paste on the printed wiring boards for electrical connections. The most common material used for Laser cut stencils is Brass and stainless steel. Stencils are the gateway to have accurate and repeatable solder paste deposition.  Solder paste stencils are only used to deposit the solder accurately to a printed circuit board before the electronic connection is populated. The Solder paste stencils deposits the components which are in place of the solders and when the solder is reflowed it is then secured on substrate and is generally known as the PCB. The size and shape of the apertures as well as composition and thickness all depends on the stencil design which makes sure that the assembly of the final product is proper.

The stencil has two major fundamental functions the first is to make sure that the material is placed properly at the right place like solder paste and flux etc. and the second function is to check that the deposits are proper in size and equally distributed among the resultant final product.  Mastercut technologies are the only manufacturer of solder paste stencils in Australasia which uses the LPKF Laser cut Stencils for the high quality cut. The Laser cut stencils technology is generally employed in to manufacture stainless steel solder paste stencils as a result we obtain a unsurpassed quality product with better accuracy. The advantage of stencil printing is that the company can provide you an accurate printing and hence there by reducing the errors.

Laser cut stencils are fast and accurate rather than the solder paste stencils this is because lasers help in the better cutting process than in the solder deposit process in which the paste is deposited and then finally cutting is done. The Mastercut technologies provide its customers with  its broad services in the Laser cut stencil technology for any of their uses in the respective fields and in any industry
